Like a song stuck in my head, I just can’t help but sing
Your faithfulness replays each day no matter what life brings.
I remember all the times You caught me-no You never missed a beat
You picked me up when I fell down and placed me on my feet.
The sound of Your voice is a quiet whisper
It might be hard to hear, but You promise me it’s there
I hear You say You love me and that You’re always here
Every time I hear from You, it’s like music to my ears
My heartbeat keeps a rhythm of Your amazing grace
You’re steadfast and You’re constant-and You help me find a pace.
The world marches to the beat of a different drum,
but every beat in my heart will follow just One.
You’ve given me words to write that read like my life song
They’re not just mine to sing anymore- and not sharing them would be wrong.
There was a time when my words fell flat and slipped so out of tune
I couldn’t form the lyrics; but You would show up soon…
You helped me find my voice again and told me to go and sing
That the hope You give’s not just for me-and You have so much love to bring.
Just like all good songs-they play and tell a story
I want mine to sound like You and to give You all the glory…
To those that listen and hear my voice:
He wrote the best love song…
He wants us to believe the words, and then to sing along.
So go and sing of all He’s done and know that You’re so loved
By the One who fills your lungs with breath and sends blessings from above.
We all have a song to sing, and together we will see
That each song tells a story, and creates a symphony…
Psalm 89:1
“I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make Your faithfulness known through all generations.”
Choosing bold faith with you,
Katie
