The Little Things

Sometimes it’s the little things that mean the most to me
They might seem insignificant- but start to plant a seed.
Sitting in the sun, or walking through the trees
Thoughts passing over me like the gentle breeze
I’ve been thinking about the Kingdom of God and how it’s going to grow
And how I play a part in what I’ve come to know
What seems to be quite small- is bigger than it seems
It just needs time to grow into what it’s called to be
Smallest of them all… but later stands quite tall
Hidden in the ground at first, but later- seen by all
It grows branches for the birds so they can build nests in its shade
Finding safety from the harm around and rest in what He’s made
What if like a mustard seed, we all grew to be much more…
Still rooted in the Truth, but stronger than before
What if we had arms that reach to those that need us most
A place of safety from the world around-where people flock to go…
What if just a speck of faith moved mountains from here to there
Doing more than what meets the eye or what most people dare
With God all things are possible and He helps us succeed
The largest of anything we produce start with the smallest seed
Choosing Bold Faith with you,
Katie
Mark 4:30-32
Jesus said, “How can I describe the Kingdom of God? What story should I use to illustrate it? 31 It is like a mustard seed planted in the ground. It is the smallest of all seeds, 32 but it becomes the largest of all garden plants; it grows long branches, and birds can make nests in its shade.”
Mathew 17:20
Jesus told them. "I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."
