Priceless

Sometimes we think the gifts we give are simply not enough

To measure up to the way we feel- to give to those we love…

We overthink and overspend trying to get it right

But I think what we all truly want is really in plain sight.

To know we’re thought of and that someone cares-

Even for a minute...

For a moment in time, we cross the hearts of those whose lives we share. 

I believe the greatest gifts far exceed a price

Like a thoughtful note, an unplanned call, and honest-wise, advice.

Possibly the greatest gift is offering our time- 

I’ve learned that every second counts because life turns on a dime.

It sounds so simple and maybe that’s why it’s often hard to do,

We think there’s wealth in what we have and forget what’s really true.

We get caught up in the dollar signs, the striving, and the stress-

But we all have what we all need…

Love.
