Diamond in the Rough

So much hidden deep within the world has yet to see,
Concealed gems of shiny dreams of what I hope “will be.”
Underneath the surface trapped in a layer of “potential”-
Not yet brought to light…they say timing is essential.
The waiting can feel dark; sometimes as black as coal…
The pressure from that “wait” weighs heavy on my soul.
The fire of anticipation burns inside my core
It sparks and flashes embers of hope that point to something more.
Somewhere between a rock and a hard place is where refining starts
Extracting good from all the hurt and sifting through the broken parts.
The process isn’t easy… I suppose change never is
Through it all God’s working. Timing’s not my own but always His.
To all the other dreamers waiting in the dark
Shine first from within- and never lose your spark.
Through all the rocky parts of life that feel testing and tough,
Remember that even diamonds can be formed from the rough.
Choosing Bold Faith with you,
Katie
1 Peter 1:6-7
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
